The Pico Cueto Trophy is a mountain relay race where teams of 3 runners participate. Each runner of the team will complete the same circuit of 6 kilometers in the Northern forests of Spain. See all the information about the profile.
This is the most exciting part of the competition. The next runner in the team must be relieved by high-fiving in the area we specially set up for it. In this special place the crowd is always waiting to cheer on the runners.
The collection of numbers, start, relay area and finish line are at the same point, in the Sabino Moutas Park in Pravia. We have shower services in the sports center. Along the race, and also at the finish line, runners will be offered liquid and solid provisioning.

Nacho wanted to organize a unique race in Spain, in an extraordinary landscape and that would preserve the essence of its reference competition, the Vanoni Trophy, a competition with more than 60 years of history celebrated in Morbegno, Italy.
The race is contested by teams of 3 runners. Each reliever of the team complete a lap (6 kms) of the course.

Teams can be 3 men, 3 women or mixed teams.
It is a short and fast trail circuit, where grip is important but also speed.

Each reliever will complete the same fast trail circuit of 6 kilometers, with 250 meters of positive elevation gain and starting and finishing at the same point. The route consists of 1.5 fast kilometers of pavement and the remaining 4.5 kilometers run through tracks and mountain trails in the Pravian forest.
Pravia is only 10 minutes (13 kms) from Asturias airport. The airport has a direct flight from Paris. There are also several daily flights to Asturias from Madrid and Barcelona. You can also get there by plane from many other cities in Spain.
If you are coming from the north of Spain, via the Cantabrian Highway (A-8), which gives access to Pravia via the AS-16 road. If you come from central Spain, via the AP-66 motorway (with toll) or the N-630 national road.
Villa de Pravia has many hotels and rural accommodation offers within the same town where the race is held. You can also enjoy the wide and varied gastronomic offer, with typical and homemade asturian food.
